WorldSkills Cyber Security CoBOK

Reviewed 2026-10-29

Welcome to the Competition Body of Knowledge for WorldSkills Cyber Security.

This is the single source of truth for competitors, experts and trainers preparing for WorldSkills Cyber Security, from the WorldSkills UK national competition to the WorldSkills International finals. It is organised around the four areas the competition covers:

  • Infrastructure hardening and secure coding
  • Digital forensics and incident response
  • Offensive operations (red team CTF)
  • Defensive operations (blue team)

Every page maps to the WorldSkills Occupational Standards (WSOS) 2026, the standard each competition is marked against.

This site supports two different navigation perspectives without duplicating content:

Section titled “1. 📍 Stage-Centric View (Recommended for learners)”

Start here if you’re preparing for a specific competition level.

The Competition Roadmaps are learning paths tailored to each stage:

Each roadmap links directly to the specific sections of technical content you need at that stage (using anchor links). This prevents you from getting overwhelmed by content that’s beyond your current level.

2. 📚 Topic-Centric View (Body of Knowledge)

Section titled “2. 📚 Topic-Centric View (Body of Knowledge)”

Use this for deep-diving into specific technical domains.

The Body of Knowledge contains all canonical technical content, organised by competition area:

Every technical concept exists exactly once in these sections. Roadmaps link to these pages using stable anchor links.
